Hostelling Western Canada |

Drove back to Nanimo then took ferry to Vancouver. Checked in at the hostel. There was a problem in my registration, but the guy at the front desk was very helpful. He gave me a 'backup' bed.
After settling down, it was late afternoon. I had a walk in Vancouver's famous Stanley Park. The park is quite big and located downtown. What fascinated me most was the virgin forest -- trees that have never been logged.
Tonight is the last night of my stay in Vancouver. It was a boring night, compared with last night's exciting sunset viewing and ditch rescue. I met two Israeli girls I had met at rampart creek several days ago. I had played chess with one of them. I wanted to play with her again, but the hostel did not have a chess set.
Parking my car in downtown was such a pain in the neck. When you suddenly find a spot, a mark always clearly remind you that a parking permit is needed.
